Figure 2 Hazard Ratios of Incident CVD According to WHR and Genotype
Hazard ratios of incident cardiovascular disease calculated for a 0.1-U increase in the waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) in subgroups according to rs1333049 genotypes (GG, GC, CC). The figure shows that the strength of association between waist-to-hip ratio and cardiovascular disease risk increases with the number of copies of the C allele (p = 0.006 for effect modification in a model adjusted for age and gender).
