Figure 2 Mean ± SD left atrial volume index (LAVI) according to different wall motion abnormality (WMA) results. Left atrial volume index is significantly different between normal and any WMA (new, fixed, or mixed). An atrial volume >28 ml/m² is associated with escalating cardiovascular risk, including risk of ischemic heart disease.
