Figure 1 Impact of left ventricular dysfunction on survival in Eisenmenger syndrome. In a study of 122 patients, left ventricular dysfunction was a strong predictor of mortality. Patients with a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) <50% demonstrated a sharply shortened survival curve compared to Eisenmenger patients with LVEF ≥ 50%. Reprinted with permission (5).
