Note that intraplatelet nitrotyrosine was time-dependently decreased after smoking cessation; however, in the subjects who resumed smoking, intraplatelet nitrotyrosine returned to the baseline values by resmoking. *p < 0.01 vs. day 0 in group A;  p < 0.05 vs. day 0 in group B;  p < 0.05 vs. day 14 in group B.
