Figure 1 Relationship between commutative release of hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase (HBDH) during the course of 120 h and ejection fraction in 54 patients. Although there was a highly significant correlation, there is considerable scatter in data with a wide range of enzyme release for ejection fraction between 50% and 55% and a wide range in ejection fraction for cumulative enzyme release of between 1,500 and 2,000.
