Figure 1 (A) Comparison of serum levels of interleukin (IL)-10 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha on admission between non-survivors and survivors in fulminant myocarditis. Serum levels of IL-10, but not TNF-alpha, on admission increased considerably in five non-survivors when compared with levels in nine survivors of fulminant myocarditis with cardiogenic shock requiring mechanical circulatory support. (B) Comparison of serum levels of IL-10 on admission between non-survivors and survivors in acute myocardial infarction. Serum levels of IL-10 on admission slightly increased in 5 non-survivors when compared with levels in 10 survivors of acute myocardial infarction with cardiogenic shock requiring mechanical circulatory support.
