Figure 1 Shows the median B-natriuretic peptide (BNP) values (pg/ml) for different mortality causes. In this graph, there were two patients who died of renal causes. Their BNP levels were 1,300 and 805. *p = 0.005 when comparing using BNP between the people who died due to all causes and who survived in the non-referred group; {dagger}p < 0.001 when comparing using BNP between the people who died due to all causes and who survived in the referred group. Boxes show 25th and 75th percentile with medians given; whiskers show 10th and 90th percentiles.
