Figure 2 Three-chamber view and short axis view in a patient 5 days and 12 weeks after primary percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty plus stenting of the left anterior descending coronary artery for anterior myocardial infarction. Baseline cine (left) shows severe wall thickening abnormality (black arrows) in the anteroseptal, anterior, and apical region. Follow-up cine (right) shows no improvement in the area with transmural hyperenhancement, whereas some improvement can be seen in the areas with non-transmural hyperenhancement (white arrows).
