(16), the normal range of intramyocardial T-cell infiltration was defined to be <7 cell/mm2. An excess of this limit, which is marked by the broken line in the graph, shows a pathological infiltration with T-cells. aANTitp = altered adenine nucleotide translocator isoform transcription pattern; csIHD = clinically suspected inflammatory heart disease; nANTitp = normal adenine nucleotide translocator isoform transcription pattern.
