Figure 1 (A) The ANT isoform transcription pattern of patients with ICM (n = 22) and csIHD (n = 53) is described by its ANT1/(ANT2 + ANT3) mRNA ratio. Ischemic cardiomyopathy patients were found to have an identical ANT isoform profile with healthy people (13). Thus, the range of normal ANT isoform distribution was defined as the mean ± 3 SD of the ICM patients ratio and was marked by broken lines. The average percentage of each ANT isoform found in the myocardium of patients with csIHD that have an ANT1/ANT2 + ANT3 mRNA ratio outside the normal range (n = 21; solid bars) are shown in comparison with ICM patients (n = 22; open bars) in graph (B).
