Figure 1 Plasma levels of {alpha}- and {gamma}-tocopherol in rats fed different diets. Plasma {alpha}-tocopherol levels increased markedly in {alpha}-tocopherol-fed rats, and {gamma}-tocopherol levels decreased as compared with the control rats. On the other hand, plasma {gamma}-tocopherol levels were markedly elevated in {gamma}-tocopherol-fed rats, and {alpha}-tocopherol levels were not different as compared with control rats. {alpha}-T = {alpha}-tocopherol; {gamma}-T = {gamma}-tocopherol. Data are mean ± SD (n = 11 rats in each group).
