Figure 1 Left atrial appendage flow velocity changes before and during atrial fibrillation and after cardioversion from atrial fibrillation to sinus rhythm. Note the significant differences between velocities during atrial fibrillation (*) and sinus rhythm ( ) (p < 0.01). There were no significant differences between velocities in sinus rhythm before atrial fibrillation and after cardioversion from brief duration atrial fibrillation.
