Figure 1 Kaplan–Meier event-free survival curves for the end point of all-cause mortality comparing those patients with atrial fibrillation (n = 419; solid line) and those patients in sinus rhythm (n = 6,098; broken line) at baseline. Patients with atrial fibrillation had a decreased cumulative survival compared to those with sinus rhythm (log-rank p < 0.001). The number of patients in each group surviving at each 365-day interval is displayed.
