Figure 1 Mean intimal area (left anterior descending artery) detected by intravascular ultrasound. The mean intimal area significantly increased in the cyclosporin A (open bars) versus the tacrolimus (closed bars) group during follow-up (change from baseline to follow-up: p < 0.05). {Delta} baseline to follow-up = absolute change from baseline to follow-up. *p < 0.05 versus cyclosporin A.

Figure 2 Mean vessel area (left anterior descending [LAD]) detected by intravascular ultrasound. The mean vessel area significantly increased in the tacrolimus (closed bars) versus the cyclosporin A (open bars) group during follow-up (change from baseline to follow-up: p < 0.05). {Delta} baseline to follow-up = absolute change from baseline to follow-up. *p < 0.05 versus cyclosporin A.

Figure 3 Circulating plasma endothelin 1 (ET-1) concentrations (radioimmunoassay). The circulating ET-1 concentration in the tacrolimus (closed bars) (but not in the cyclosporin A [open bars]) group decreased during the first 12 postoperative months. The absolute change in ET-1 concentration during follow-up was significantly different between the groups (p ≤ 0.05). {Delta} baseline to follow-up = absolute change from baseline to follow-up. *p < 0.05 versus cyclosporin A.
