Figure 1 Baseline and Follow-Up Stress/Rest SPECT Sestamibi MPI After Medical Therapy

(A) A patient's baseline stress/rest SPECT sestamibi perfusion images showing large ischemia of the left anterior descending artery territory; the top rows show stress images and the bottom rows show rest images. (B) Polar maps estimated the extent of total ischemia to be 31% of left ventricular myocardium. The left ventricular ejection fraction was 62% by gated SPECT. (C) SPECT sestamibi MPI at 6-month follow-up with maximal medical therapy including statin, beta-blockers, and nitrates. The ischemia (same format as A) is less. (D) Polar maps estimated extent of total abnormality to be 21%, ischemia 16%, and scar 5%. The left ventricular ejection fraction was 67%.
