Figure 1 Changes in Ventilatory Function During Exercise After Fenestration Closure

Fenestration closure-associated changes in each individual patient's minute ventilation/carbon dioxide elimination (VE/VCO₂) slope (A), end-tidal partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO₂) at the ventilatory anaerobic threshold (B), and end-tidal partial pressure of oxygen (pO₂) at the anaerobic threshold (C). The VE/VCO₂ slope fell in every patient. The end-tidal pCO₂ rose and the end-tidal pO₂ fell in 19 of 20 patients. Post = post-fenestration closure; Pre = pre-fenestration closure.
