Distribution of all affected infarct-typical (A) and -atypical (B) contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (CE-MRI) segments related to the American Heart Association 17-segment model. Of infarct-typical lesions, 81% were accentuated in the mid-ventricular (segments VII to XII) and apical (XIII to XVII) segments.
