Figure 3 Effect of troponin C (cTnC_G159D) and troponin T (cTnT_R131W, cTnT_R205L, cTnT_K210, cTnT_D270N) mutations on inter-troponin interactions assessed by a mammalian two-hybrid assay. All mutations impaired cTnT-cTnC and cTnT-cTnI interaction significantly (p < 0.001) compared with wild-type protein interaction (cTnT_wt, cTnC_wt, cTnI_wt). A recognized troponin T polymorphism (cTnT_K253R) did not change inter-troponin interaction significantly compared with wild-type troponin interaction. All experiments were repeated 10 times.
