Figure 2 Exercise-induced changes of the femoral (a) and brachial (b) artery blood flow in nonsmoking (black circles) and smoking (white circles) subjects. Evaluation of femoral and brachial artery blood flow during exercise by repeated measures analysis of variance showed significant changes in both nonsmoking and smoking subjects (p < 0.001). Comparison of the line plots of both study groups were performed by linear regression analyses and revealed no significant difference between the slopes of femoral and brachial artery blood flow increases. *p < 0.05,

p < 0.001 for comparison to baseline.
