Figure 2 Regression plot of correlation between the Mitral Regurgitation Index and the regurgitant fraction in 85 patients with varying grades of mitral regurgitation (r = 0.76, p < 0.0001). In patients with a regurgitant fraction greater than 60%, the MR Index was noted to exceed 2.0 in all cases.
